Career Training Program Updates: October 10

We have four Career Training Program Catalog Updates you will want to note.

Catalog Updates:

Titles:

      • GES409- Payroll Practice and Management
      • GES429 – Payroll Practice and Management (Voucher Included)

Update: The catalog was updated to reflect the new exam requirements for the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) exam administered by the American Payroll Association (APA).

To qualify to sit for the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) exam students must have been practicing a total of three (3) years out of the five (5) years preceding the date of the examination. The practice of payroll is defined as direct or related involvement in at least one of the following:

    •    Payroll Production, Payroll Reporting, Payroll Accounting, Payroll Systems and Payroll Taxation
    •    Payroll Administration
    •    Payroll Education/Consulting

      • GES124 – CBCS Medical Billing and Coding (Voucher Included
      • GES145 – CPC Medical Billing and Coding (Voucher Included)

      • GES148 – CPC Certified Medical Administrative Assistant with Medical Billing and Coding (Vouchers Included)

Update: The catalog was updated to reflect the changes to the following text:

      • 2015 Coding Workbook for the Physician’s Office
        • Text has been removed and replaced with online coding practice
      • ICD-10-CM Expert for Physicians – 2016
        • Text updated to ICD-10-CM Professional for Physicians – 2017
      • ICD-10-PCS (2016)
        • Text updated to ICD-10 PCS (2017)

Update: The program outlines have been updated to reflect the removal of the MDB2 lesson from the Introduction to PHP module in both programs. Below is the updated Introduction to PHP module that can be found in both programs.

Update: The program requirements and FAQ’s have been updated to reflect that only a PC can be used on the above programs. All references to Mac’s being compatible with the programs have been removed.
